The media is playing up "miss-communication" because it conflicts with the coaches saying "they were just playing perfectly" but if you actually read into what Whitner is saying, it's the same thing. The Niners just needed to buckle down and tighten up a bit. This week, they can't afford to get down before they come out solid, they just need to do it straight up from the get go.
