Each time the Lions chose to run the ball I laughed inside. They tried to keep the 49ers defense honest, and did so at the expense of throwing to their better weapons. The 49ers defense meanwhile consumed the run game without a problem. The Vikings are a stronger running team, which will challenge the 49ers defense. Expect to see more 3-4 alignments as the Niners balance the Vikings attempt to establish a run game.
