SANTA CLARA – Vic Fangio spoke at the podium in the media tent today. Jim Harbaugh will speak tomorrow, and Greg Roman will speak on Thursday.

Extra Point:
Clearly the team is making the Special Teams a priority - but Fangio wants more depth at linebacker even still. Grant is still first off the bench, bud with an athlete like Gooden, expect him to get on the field to help situational defenses. If he can make a big impact on Special Teams though - the gamble may pay off. With Goldson injured, and Smith recovering from injury the defensive secondary is still one big question mark. I anticipate Spencer will see play time, but I'm not sure he will be healthy enough to start either. Whitner has been tweeting that he is ready for the challenge of covering a top flight TE in week 1.
