SAN FRANCISCO – Vernon Davis caught four passes for 30 yards Sunday against the Rams. The Pro Bowl tight end has not caught more than four passes in a game since Week 5 against the Bills.

The difference between acceptance and embracing are like night and day. Still Davis was the target of a deep pass by Kaepernick (who missed big time) and the first read of a down field pass by Smith on the first play from scrimmage. Hard to suggest the 49ers are not trying to go his way, but teams are taking it away and challenging the Niners to beat them with other players.
