Niners tight end Vernon Davis said friends have contacted him with statistical requests prior his meeting against the Redskins on Sunday, his first NFL game back in his hometown. "'Vernon, I need you to light it up this week ?… Extra Point:
Davis wants to make plays, we know that. Singletary helped Davis get his head straight, and he has not looked back. Davis will have opportunity, as Edwards starts to draw more attention, or Gore, the team will have opportunities to throw the strike to Davis in the Endzone. We have not seen much of that this year, but I have a feeling Davis and Smith still have that play down pat.
