If one 49er could provide more insight than any other on the Giants-49ers clash it's 49ers cornerback Tarell Brown. Brown is best friends with one of his former Texas Longhorn teammates, Aaron Ross, who happens to be a starting cornerback… Extra Point:
Anything one players knows, the other knows too... only the 49ers are way different today than a year ago. We hear these connections every week, but ultimately they get rebuked as no big deal either way. Perhaps the exception to that came with the Vernon Davis Grab, the 49ers knew a player tendency and knew they could exploit it. Can you get the same thing on video? Maybe, but it takes a heck of a lot of studying. I still think the Niners best shot is to give the Giants a reason to start making excuses early in the game - then they will self combust.
