Steve Young spoke with Tom Tolbert and Ralph Barbieri on KNBR Wednesday afternoon.

You get the feeling that Young is in pain watching the Niners on third down and in the redzone. One of the ways the 49ers can create more touchdowns is to call plays with options. That means spreading the defense out with more weapons and moving Smith out of the pocket - something he is actually effective at. These two aspects alone should have immediate results.
