Mike Singletary wanted a smash-mouth offense. He wanted to be rough and tough and big and physical and leave his opponent a bloody and quivering mess by the midway point in the fourth quarter.

Guess what? So does Jim Harbaugh.…

Extra Point:
The similarities had better break down. I think we've seen enough of three yards and a cloud dust. Harbaugh shoukd be careful not to overstate the Physical because the players are likely all to tired of hearing about being Fysical. For the sake of sanity, maybe a slogan from Bill Walsh would do better:

-I will not be out hit at any point in the season
Or
-"beating the opposition to the punch."
