All signs suggest that rookie wide receiver Joe Hastings will be elevated from the practice squad for Sunday's game at St. Louis to fill the void left by the release of Braylon Edwards on Tuesday. But Hastings' first NFL game… Extra Point:
Given the lack of depth at WR, Hastings may get some actual work during the game. If the Niners are not happy with the performance, they could still add a receiver in the week (or weeks) before their next game. Still you have to think adding one sooner than later would make more sense as they try and get ready for the playoffs. I can see the team wanting a been there done that kind of WR. Owens would be an interesting candidate - but might be hard to fit into the chemistry of the team, and may draw to much media non-sense before some key games to be worth the upside.
