With the Houston Texans on the lookout for a new coaching staff, there’s been a lot of speculation about who they might bring in. And, two names that have popped are Bobby Slowik and Brian Griese.…
Bobby Slowik is currently the 49ers' offensive passing game coordinator and has been with the team since 2019. He's well-respected in the coaching community for his ability to create dynamic passing game plans, and his expertise has been a big part of the 49ers' offensive success in recent years.Brian Griese, on the other hand, is newer to the 49ers' coaching ranks, but he's been instrumental in the development of quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, Brock Purdy, and to some degree Trey Lance.
So, could the Texans poach Slowik and Griese from the 49ers? It's definitely a possibility. The Texans are in need of experienced and talented coaches, and Slowik and Griese fit that bill. Both Slowik and Griese have been key contributors to the team's success, and the 49ers would likely make a strong effort to keep them in the Bay Area.
That being said, the Texans now under coach DeMeco Ryans are bound to take someone from teh 49ers ranks. In the end, it will come down to what Slowik and Griese value most. If they believe that the Texans offer them the best chance to grow as coaches, then they may consider making the move. But if they're happy in San Francisco and feel a strong sense of loyalty to the team, then they may decide to stay put.
It's impossible to predict what will happen, but one thing is for sure: the Texans' coaching search is going to be one of the most closely watched storylines of the off-season for 49ers fans. And, if Slowik and Griese are on their radar, it could be a real shake-up for the 49ers.
