Looking for a third player to throw into their running back rotation, the 49ers today tapped Oklahoma State’s Kendall Hunter with their fourth-round pick. Hunter is yet another player who either paid a pre-draft visit to the 49ers or had …

Extra Point:
The 49ers were looking for a change of pace to Frank Gore and Anthony Dixon. Hunter fills the 'Charlie Garner' type role for the club. He's shifty and good in the passing offense - likely a good fit for the West Coast Offense, but obviously he's not envisioned as the starter. Hunter will have to work his way up the rotation, but should contribute in specialized roles and on special teams this year.
