Sounds like this regime wants to have its own players wherever it can so there is no bad blood. Whitner is basically a lock for one of the starting spots at safety, and his contract is reasonable. He's a pretty solid player, and comes with plenty of experience. One of the few Bills I think I'd want on my team. Good pick up.
