Report: Justin Smith expected not to play against Seahawks

Adam Schefter just tweeted Justin Smith “is not expected to play Sunday night versus Seattle due to his elbow injury.”

Smith is the 49ers’ best run-defending defensive lineman and he also sets up most of the 49ers’ pass rush. Offensive …

Not too surprsing here. The 49ers will be asking their linebackers to assist a bit more in run blocking, it could make for a long day trying to stop the shallow passing over the middle. Hoping Smith gets better ASAP. RJF has been waiting for the chance to shine though... this is it.
