The good news keeps rolling for the 49ers. Despite losing Reggie Smith to an injury of undisclosed nature on Saturday, it now appears the 49ers have re-signed Dashon Goldson to a 1-year deal. Just a week after some harsh words on twitter, Goldson re-joins the team and will now be a part of a secondary that includes recent additions Madieu Williams and Donte Whitner, and at cornerback, Carlos Rogers. The signing was first reported by ProFootballTalk and is yet to be confirmed by the team. This is a big step to establishing a dominant secondary. Goldson and Witner are likely to be the starters, and Williams, CJ Spillman and Reggie Smith will add some serious depth once the camp battle shakes out.
