A shutdown corner would make a huge difference to the 49ers defense, but a strong pass rush is more important. I expect the 49ers to continue to build on the OLB/DE's they looked at last offseason and who are injured, and also look to bolster that. Far more rotation will be required this year to bring out the best in the front 4.
