This is an odd move - especially because Harbaugh has come out in favor of spreading his coaches around the league, and helping them get ahead. I wonder is some coaches are more guarded given the depth and ability of the team to shuffle if need be. Maybe Donatell is not a guy that the Niners think they have a suitable replacement for?
