Reevaluating Jed York

Jed York, the young CEO of the 49ers, got off to a rocky start when he took over control of the team in 2008.

Right off the bat, he made a two-part mistake.

  1. He hired the wrong head coach –

Jed was too quick too hire Singletary, but he's shown the capacity to learn and grow and even better - heed the advice of others. Everyone know's why he was quick to hire Singletary - who as interim head coach, turned the team around very quickly. It was the wrong move, and wrong approach, but it is forgivable given the circumstances under which it happened.
