Extra Point:
The 49ers don't lack dimension. At the moment they lack healthy bodies at WR, OL, and FB and are trying to build a multi-dimensional approach without those positions being in solid shape. That is a difficult task to master. I will agree that Alex Smith is not at the level where he makes his OL look good. That has not happened yet. Similarly, the play calls did nothing to try and fix this either. Consistently the coaches avoided calling plays to counter the on coming blitz and the team got burned because of it.
