Hampton has lots to prove coming off injury - sounds very familiar for 49ers backs, especially when you consider the type of injury - ACL. What Hampton brings though is a style of running that could put Dixon on the bubble. The 49ers seem to continue to shuffle so much talent through the running back position that guys like Dixon are in constant need of proving their worth.
