@AJABlaza Is Alex regressing (more ints/lower comp %)? Are they asking him to do too much? Just bad luck? What gives? Answ: 77.9, 84.5, 74.0, 101.0, 45.5, 61.5, 136.7.…
Extra Point:Two questions worth exploring - but on both counts I think the answer is no. Alex Smith is not regressing. His finger is bothering him more than he is letting on... and if I was a betting man, then I'd say we are going to see Alex get better with this longer rest between games. NFL betting (click here) at Top Bet likely won't give anyone a line on this one - but the key will be watching to see whether Alex and the 49ers staff can get back to making better decisions at the line of scrimmage to pick apart opponents in the brain game.
As far as Brandon Jacobs goes, this is not a question of under performance. It has everything to do with Jacobs being an insurance policy. Dixon picked up his game over the summer, and has more to offer on special teams. If Jacobs goes into the game on offense that means Gore and or Hunter comes out. The two have been having awesome years. Jacobs may get more play with Gore getting a bit banged up.
