The Arizona Cardinals have done their share of struggling over the course of the last few weeks.
The team really hasn’t established all that much of a ground game, and QB John Skelton has clearly looked like the lesser of …
The Cards have struggled and struggled mightily against San Francisco over the course of the last several years. The team is just 2-5 SU and 1-6 ATS over the course of the last seven in this series, and the one cover only came just last year in the last meeting of the two squads of the campaign. Arizona logged a 21-19 upset of the then 10-2 49ers.
That was one of the best games of the year for Skelton, who threw for 282 yards and three TDs. In the rest of his outings of the year, the former Fordham Ram only averaged 233.0 passing yards and 1.14 touchdown passes per game.
The bad news for the Cardinals is that they are the only legitimate home team this week that is an underdog by more than a field goal (discounting the fact that the St. Louis Rams are the "home team" in London against the New England Patriots). The NFL odds feature San Francisco laying 6 ½-points to the Cards, who badly need a win to get back into a first place tie in the NFC West.
