Today, updated fantasy football news and views are readily available 24/7 and 365 days a year. More is not always better though and selecting a handful of trusted NFL related websites, like the one here at 49ers Paradise, is solid draft day planning. Average Draft Position: Are the various ADP lists reliable?
Average Draft Position (ADP) lists can be found everywhere on the Internet these days. ADP lists are created by various fantasy websites and then change as mock and real drafts are completed. Since the vast majority of fantasy football owners are recreational players, they will often draft the next player on the recommended ADP list. This means that the original list may not change all that much. Merging six or seven various ADP lists into one, and resorting the players as you see the season shaking out, is a fantastic step to fantasy sports success.
Participate in Mock Drafts fantasy football draft websites
While mock drafting should not the “end all - be all” of your fantasy draft day preparation, they are a highly recommended exercises prior to your real draft. A huge key here is finding Mock Drafts that offer a scoring system that mirrors the one you will follow and entering drafts that have the same number of owners in your real league. Remember, some mock drafts use standard scoring, some include points per reception (PPR), and the scoring of TD’s, yards gained, field goals etc. varies extensively. Find mock drafts that mimic your Fantasy League.
Good Luck and Enjoy Your Fantasy Football Season!
