NEW ORLEANS – Here’s what Kaepernick said after the game about his performance against the Saints.
Q: Were you a good QB today?
KAEPERNICK: I think so. We got a win. That’s all that really matters.
Q: What did you …
Extra Point:Kaepernick is clearly familiar with the Harbaugh-tight-lipped-speak. Still he expresses modesty, thanks to his teammates, and just a tad of insight into his game. Kaepernick had an adequate game for a starting quarterback, he made a few too many mistakes - and the players need to learn to block cleanly for longer periods of time with a quarterback who extends so many plays. The team, the whole team, did seem to be playing just a notch harder though, not going down as quickly, and fighting harder. It's hard to attribute that to Kaepernick alone, but it is certainly evident. Vernon Davis dropped a ball that hit him in the chest, and otherwise had a mainly quiet day. He was a huge factor last week and boasted about Kaepernick, it will be interesting to hear his thoughts this week after Manningham was the primary target.
