Here’s the transcript of Jim Harbaugh’s Friday conference call.
Q: After watching the film, what was your general impression of the breakdowns and why they occurred and what you can do to get it all fixed?
HARBAUGH: First of all …
Extra Point:This game was lost in the trenches, specifically the offensive line. Despite that, I think the team could have called plays to slow the Ravens rush. More screens, play actions, and spread formations. All the bunched formations allowed the Ravens to control the line because they could account for the Niners offense in one clump. Other teams either have not caught on to that yet, or don't have the personnel to replicate it - but it is a danger. Had the team split three receivers out, and maybe motion a TE or RB out, the Ravens would not be able to disguise their blitz as well, and the OL would have had an easier time blocking.
