Jewel Hampton promoted to 49ers active roster

The 49ers announced this afternoon they’ve moved undrafted rookie Jewel Hampton from the non-football-related injury list to the active roster.

With Kyle Williams and Kendall Hunter on the injured reserved list, Hampton becomes the 52nd man on the 49ers roster, …

Extra Point:

Hampton comes in as an additional back up running back. He's got versatility, but likely won't get play time ahead of James. As far as the 53rd spot, UDFA Giorgio Tavecchio still seems available and may be a good pick up for the Niners who are in desperate need of reliability at kicker.
