The Giants are going to try and take Davis away. If Walker is _actually_ healthy enough to play that would be a key weapon for the Niners to factor in to their attack. Walker's intelligence will also be an asset on the field as the Giants likely will try a different scheme than the 49ers saw towards the end of the season.
