My dad and I both were at Jim Harbaugh’s news conference today, both heard him recommend Alex Smith as the No. 3 Pro Bowl quarterback. As you know, I wrote a blog about it. My father wrote his wednesday column …

Extra Point:
Justin Smith may be team MVP and may be a Pro Bowler himself, but that does not exclude Alex from the conversation. You look at guys with better numbers around the league, and you also see offensive schemes that throw the ball very differently than the Niners. I'll argue that on the two TD drives we saw this Sunday, Smith was as good as any quarterback in the league. That's not the first occasion he's looked that good either.
