SAN FRANCISCO – Vernon Davis said he hopes Cliff Avril didn’t do it intentionally. Davis, who played all but two snaps against the Packers in Week 1, missed chunks…

All sorts of dirty play was going on in lasts nights game - and that's not entirely uncommon for a NFL game, but eye gauging is a whole new level. It's the type of thing that can ruin lives. In any case, Davis returned, but I would be surprised if his eye is bothering him this week. The play happened after Walker and Davis threw a sensational block.
