Matt Hasselbeck was released by the Titans on Monday, and signed with the Colts on Tuesday.

There are a few options at quarterback to back up Kaepernick, but Hasselback probably is not one f them. Hasselback just is not really the style quarterback that fits the new 49ers offense, and I have a feeling they will want someone who can provide stability should Kaepernick go down.
