Extra Point:
Harbaugh is very good with the media - and making sure he only says what he wants to say. I haven't seen that from a coach in SF in a very long time. Mariucci had a way about it too, but it was more charm, this is more - be straight with me or f-off. Nevertheless, there is a key insight here. Harbaugh is seeing something from Alex Smith, maybe the same thing we've seen for years on end, that is giving him cold feet. At the end of the day Smith will win the job unless Kaepernick accelerates through the learning curve like there is no tomorrow - but it is clear that Harbaugh is guarding his postion.
