Follow up appointments after surgery are normal... but let's still hope everything is ok. Signing safety Eddie Whitley (Virginia Tech), to the practice squad to the practice squad is basically non-news... other than the 49ers appear to be hedging against losing one or both of their free agent safeties this offseason.
