Any veteran the 49ers bring in at QB would have to be well versed in Harbaugh's offense already. Either that, or would not be expected to compete - just be there as a safety net, so he could pick up on the offense as the season progresses. It is clear Harbaugh is feeling the time crunch, maybe the players are too. Compound it all with injuries, and I wonder if the Niners are faced with doing too much with too little time.
