It's obviously a very difficult call to sit either Willis or Bowman at any point during the game - but the 49ers made that move in order to get an extra defensive back on the field to match up against the Rams. The Niners seldom went to a dime defense last year, but with many high potency offenses this season, and the early success of it, we may be in line to see more and more of it.
