Smith was making those throws all day. He dropped balls in to Vernon, hit quick timing passes. The slant to Crabtree. This was not just a 4 minute quarterback. You have to remember that Smith when given opportunity has actually performed pretty well in the red zone his entire career... he just was not there very often. The Niners coaching though, is simply better than what other teams bring to the table. I'll continue to make the argument that there was only one game all season where I felt the Niners were facing an equal coaching match - and amazingly, that was against the Ravens. Every other game, the coaching leading into the game, the game planning, and yes, the play calling was superior on both sides of the ball.
