NEW ORLEANS — Frank Gore hit a hole and rumbled 33 yards to set up the 49ers with first-and-goal from the Baltimore 7-yard-line, trailing by five points with 2:39 remaining.…
Extra Point:Always the good solider Gore is not taking the bait to jump on the "why the heck didn't you let Gore run, needing 7 yards in 4 downs." I will take the bait. I'm ok if you don't run Gore, well.... not I'm not... the Niners should have given Gore at least one shot. After all, this was "his" Super Bowl, just like it was Ray Lewis's or Justin Smith's. But if you are not giving the ball to Gore, then you have to make use use of the play action or Kaepernicks dual threat ability, or both on the goal line. The 49ers offense continued to struggle in the 2nd half when they were not doing those things. It was silly to think they could get away with the play calling the executed.
