Extra Point:The 49ers got a big boost from their rookie class this year. That is one reason why Baalke needs to be executive of the year. The way these guys have come in and contributed in meaningful ways is something we haven't seen in a long time. In the past few years when a rookie made in on to the field it was because no one was there who was better, and they were handed the spots. In some cases (i.e. Willis) the player was most deserving, but in most cases it was just by default because the team was so bad. The rookies contributing this year, are doing so because they are playing at a high level.
