The interesting thing in this article is that to practice, even in a limited capacity, it sounds like you need to be symptom free. Concussion symptoms can come and go (it's one the things that make them tricky) but my guess is that a player will simply say "yah I can think clearly and practice, but a hit to the head right now would be a bad idea" and likely draw the line there.
