Deebo isn’t going anywhere

One thing that has been noticeable under the John Lynch and Kyle Shanahan regime is the lack of rumors and leaks coming out of the 49ers’ organization. T…

his is in stark contrast to other teams, where rumors and leaks are commonplace. The reason for this is simple - under the Lynch/Shanahan regime, the team values discretion and secrecy, and they do not leak information to the media.

Given this culture of secrecy, any rumors or inside leaks about the 49ers must be taken with a grain of salt. This is particularly true when it comes to rumors of player trades, such as the recent rumors about the Patriots being interested in Deebo Samuel. While it is always possible that a team could make an unexpected move, it is highly unlikely that the 49ers would be leaking information about their plans, particularly when it comes to a key player like Samuel.

In fact, it is much more likely that any rumors about the Patriots' interest in Samuel are coming from the Patriots themselves. This is a common tactic used by teams to gauge interest in a player, to drive up the price of a potential trade, or simply to create buzz and distract from other issues.

Regardless of where the rumors are coming from, there is no reason to believe that the 49ers would be interested in trading Samuel. As one of the team's best players, Samuel is a critical part of their offense, and the team has no reason to part ways with him. Additionally, as I previously mentioned, the 49ers are not a team that leaks information to the media, so any rumors about Samuel being on the trading block should be taken with a healthy dose of skepticism.

In conclusion, while it is always possible that a team could surprise us with a bold move, the rumors about the Patriots' interest in Deebo Samuel are likely nothing more than baseless speculation. Under the Lynch/Shanahan regime, the 49ers value secrecy and discretion, and they are unlikely to leak information about their plans, particularly when it comes to a key player like Samuel. As such, any talk of the Patriots sniffing around Deebo is clearly coming from the Patriots side and should be viewed as nothing more than baloney.
