So the strategy is set... let a key veteran go when a reasonable deal can't be reached and use a high pick to replace that player. If this occurs gradually the team can likely continue to thrive, but if they get hit bad in an offseason it will be difficult. Expect the Niners to continue to accumulate fire power for the future so they can move up in drafts as needed.
