Davis’ dunk gets an F … but his TD deserves an A



David Akers wasn’t the only 49er to hit the crossbar on Sunday. After his third-quarter touchdown catch, tight end Vernon Davis went to dunk the ball over the crossbar…

Extra Point:

Davis made a heck of a grab, but the flubbed dunk is going to keep him hungry for another shot at it... you just know that. Smith's throw on that touchdown was a really tough one to pick up. Smith was more accurate then we've seen in year's past, but can still be a bit more precise in putting the ball where receivers can make a better play on it. Still there were way more opportunities for YAC yards then in the past.
