Michael Crabtree says he’s spent much of his offseason in the Bay Area, but the 49ers wide receiver evidently hasn’t been paying attention to coach Jim Harbaugh’s glowing assessments of quarterback Alex Smith.

Crabtree is allowed to question the quarterback and such but he should be careful in dioing so. Last thing he needs is an enemy. If he is working out as hard as he says maybe telling people about that instead of letting speculation run wild would have been a good idea.
