Davis has been a support Smith through and through. Smith has also always stood behind Davis. So why now? Part of it may have been the opportunity to not spread the ball to Walker, Crabtree, Davis, Gore, Edwards, Ginn.... sometimes having fewer weapons can be a good thing as long as the depth is there. Smith and Davis really clicked and it was amazing to see them work together like they did yesterday. One big advantage - no throws from shade / sun from Smith to Davis.
