SANTA CLARA – The 49ers’ first round pick, A.J. Jenkins, did not catch a pass in the regular season. He was not a contributor. This afternoon, Jim Harbaugh was asked if Jenkins can contribute in the playoffs. Here’s what Harbaugh …

Extra Point:

The big difference between James and Jenkins is that a running back can follow blockers and improvise through a whole. A receiver needs to read coverage, understand his quarterback, and still get open against greater talent. Neither rookie has had much time with the first string offense. Some extra work over the next two weeks for both these guys should help, but with Jenkins in particular.
