If Alex Smith wasn't a quarterback he'd be a politician. He says the right thing all the time. A very interesting interview nonetheless though. His insight on protecting the quarterback being all 11 people's duty is spot on. The quick slant is big component of that. Smith has to get the ball out quick - and the Niners need to capitalize on the pressure that is going to come big time.
