Alex Smith spoke at the podium next to the 49ers locker room after the game Saturday night.

Q: What’s the difference between week 1 when you couldn’t move the ball …

Extra Point:
Smith's interviews are very honest, that's what I love about them. His identification of the redzone issue is spot on. I expect some of that has to do with the play calling being run, run, run down there, but given how well the team did run the ball I'm not sure that is an excuse. Would have been great opportunities for a play action. One thing that Smith indicated that has been overlooked on the pass to Braylon, was that he did in fact freeze the safety to allow room for that throw. Smith also went to his third read at times, these are things he struggled with in the past.
