What? you mean there was something happening in this game other than the makings of a quarterback controversy? Yes, most certainly. Aldon Smith's 5.5 sacks was a tremendous output. He tore up the Bears, and had plenty of help doing so. Justin Smith, Ahmad Brooks, Isaac Sopoaga, Patrick Willis and Navorro Bowman collectively blew up the Bears. They forced 3 fumbles, none of which the 49ers recovered; they tacked on a safety too. There was plenty of help in the defensive backfield too with Dashon Goldson and Tarrell Brown each securing an interception too. This game was the second-fewest number of yards allowed for any team all season, 2 fewer than the 49ers permitted the Jets. It was complete and total domination.
