The 49ers are not resigned to losing cornerback Tarell Brown in free agency and have had “ongoing conversations” about a new deal with Brown, according to a source familiar…

The 49ers are in a tough position as Brown who is a capable starter will command good money on the open market. Meanwhile the team has two solid starters under contract, and a need to add bigger corners who can match up better with Seattle or a true slot cover corner. Either way, Brown is solid and it would be hard to look past him.
