49ers return depth to DL with McGill and Flannigan-Fowles

The 49ers have made some moves in the offseason, including bringing back DL T.Y. McGill after he spent time with the team in the 2022 season.…

The team also re-signed LB Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles, who has been with the team since 2019. With these signings, the 49ers now have 59 players locked in for the offseason as they prepare for the upcoming season.

McGill is a versatile defensive lineman who has played for multiple NFL teams, including the Indianapolis Colts, Cleveland Browns, Los Angeles Chargers, Philadelphia Eagles, and the Carolina Panthers. He previously played for the 49ers in the 2022 season, appearing in five games and recording four tackles. His return to the team adds depth and experience to the defensive line.

Flannigan-Fowles played college football at the University of Arizona and went undrafted in 2019. He was signed by the 49ers as a free agent and has primarily played on special teams. In his three seasons with the team, he has played in 37 games and recorded 22 tackles. His re-signing adds depth and versatility to the 49ers’ linebacker corps and special teams unit.

As the offseason continues, the 49ers will continue to evaluate their roster and make changes to improve their team. McGill and Flannigan-Fowles are just two examples of the team’s efforts to add depth and talent to their defense and special teams. Fans are eager to see how these new additions will contribute to the 49ers’ success on the field in the upcoming season.
