49ers release RB Brandon Jacobs



The 49ers today released running back Brandon Jacobs, who was suspended for the last three games of the season. Other teams can claim Jacobs but he can’t join that team…

Anyone surprised? Anyone? raise your hand... nope... ok ... move on. Jacobs can't join the Giants which was what the Niners were most 'afraid' of. At this point though he could offer intel on the Niners, he wouldn't be much use to any other team. I am somewhat surprised the Niners did not just keep him suspended.
