Kaepernick might be being too honest here than the team would like. If they were not expecting the defense they saw, it's either because they were expecting all NFL teams to completely vanilla in the preseason, or because the coaching staff did a poor job scouting and preparing for the game.
This is the first I have head of over-working the players. I had though 15 hour days would be normal given the circumstances. Heck I put those in to my job at times and I don't make anywhere near the cash these guys ... but maybe the intensity is too much? Huddle about #DiminishingReturns
